An intelligence analyst in the U.S. Army assigned to Fort Bliss was found dead while on holiday on Monday.
Pfc. Nylyn O. Eady, was pronounced dead in Converse, Texas, according to the Army. He was 19.
A cause of death was not immediately released.
“The Ready First family mourns the loss of our friend, teammate, and fellow soldier, Pfc. Eady,” Col. Stephen A. Fairless, commander of First Armored Brigade Combat Team, said in a statement. “He served his Nation with dignity and respect; we will honor his service and his memory.”
Eady’s honors included the National Defense Medal, the Global War on Terrorism Service Medal and the Army Service Ribbon.
The military said Eady joined the Army from Odenton, Md.
