Rockets extend winning streak to 16 games

After a 122-112 win in Oklahoma City on Tuesday, the Houston Rockets rolled to their 16th consecutive victory, the second-longest in franchise history.

The feat surpasses that set by two teams from the Hakeem Olajuwon era, including one 15-game run from their first championship season (1993-94).

The Rockets won 14 consecutive games earlier this season, making them the first team with two winning streaks of at least 14 games in the same regular season since the Phoenix Suns in 2006-07.

Tuesday’s victory makes the Rockets 23-2 since Jan. 8 and an undefeated 17-0 when they score at least 120 points this season. Houston is 33-1 when James Harden, Chris Paul and Clint Capela all play in the same game.
