Robots may soon be behind your fast food

Chef bot-ardee.

They might not be cylons from Battlestar: Galactica, but robots will most likely be making our fast food in the near future.

Recode reports that there are already machines making sushi and ramen, putting together pizzas, and even mixing drinks. That’s on top of new fast food startups that utilize robots.

For example, Momentum Machines hopes to open in San Francisco with a robot that flips burgers. Meanwhile, Eatsa promises “better, faster food” without any human interaction.

There are also companies — including Alphabet and Amazon — looking into drones delivering food instead of people.

So here’s hoping the path to a Terminator-style Judgment Day doesn’t start with a robot making a burger for us.
