Man in Bison Video Arrested on Wildlife Harassment Charge

According to Reuters, a man in a widely shared video has been arrested for provoking a Yellowstone National Park bison by waving his arms at the creature, prompting it to charge him. Raymond Reinke, age 55, of Pendleton, Oregon, has been arrested by rangers on suspicion of harassing wildlife. He was taken into custody late Thursday by rangers at Glacier National Park in Montana, where Reinke had traveled after being cited for the bison incident on Tuesday evening that took place earlier that day. Yellowstone rules state that visitors must stay a certain distance from animals, requiring them to stay at least 25 yards from bison and elk and 100 yards from predators such as wolves and bears.
