Defendants in the suit include former N.W.A. members and Compton producers Ice Cube and Dr. Dre, their fellow producers, director F. Gary Gray, and NBC Universal, as well as the estate of late N.W.A. member Eazy-E.

“Untrue statements in the movie made Heller look like a dishonest, sleazy guy that he was in effect responsible for the group breaking up,” his lawyer Michael R. Shapiro said, according to Variety.
Straight Outta Compton has grossed $199.6 million worldwide since its August release. It’s the fourteenth highest-grossing film of the year at the domestic box office.
