Child Finds 3 Pounds Of Meth In Lego Box

Everyone received a surprise when a gift purchased for a young child turned out to be a box of methamphetamine. Georgia police confirmed that a child opened a box of Lego’s which had been purchased from a consignment store in South Carolina and found $40,000 worth of meth inside. Geek.com reports that Bulloch County Sheriff’s Investigator Jim Riggs said the unsuspecting women bought what they thought was a box of Lego toys, but they unknowingly received over three pounds of methamphetamine. Deputies say the women turned the drugs over to the sheriff’s office, who called in Drug Enforcement Administration agents. Riggs says authorities determined the drugs were likely mailed to the wrong address and then auctioned off as unclaimed property.
