Actress from ‘The Wire’ arrested on drug charges in NC

Authorities in North Carolina said a woman known for being an actress on “The Wire” was arrested Sunday on drug charges.

Dare County Sheriff’s Office Capt. Kevin Duprey released a statement saying Sonja Denise Plack, 55, was a passenger in a car that was stopped near the Washington Baum Bridge in Manteo, North Carolina.

The Sheriff’s Office said a K-9 alerted to the odor of a controlled substance, and deputies searched the car.

The Sheriff’s Office said they found cocaine, drug paraphernalia and marijuana drug paraphernalia inside a purse in the car.

The driver was issued citations for expired registration and driving while license revoked and was released.

Plack was arrested and charged with felony possession of cocaine, misdemeanor possession of drug

paraphernalia and misdemeanor possession of marijuana drug paraphernalia. She posted a $1,500 secured bond and was released.

Sohn has been in Baltimore in the last year working on a documentary about the Gun Trace Task Force.
