Five people have died and one remains missing after a bridge washed away in Franklin County, Indiana, on Friday morning.
Authorities said a 911 call was placed at around 5 a.m. after high waters from overnight storms caused the bridge, located at the intersection of Sanes Creek Road and Tee Hill Road, to collapse. Authorities said the bridge was not well lit.Sign up for our Newsletters
Four bodies were recovered, and deputies are actively searching for two more people. They will continue to search until the sun goes down.
The fifth body was recovered around 3 p.m. Friday, according to officials.
Officials say the search will continue for the sixth person at 9 a.m. Saturday.
Deputies have not yet released the ages or identities of the victims.
